Solarfuse originated in Austin Texas near the end of 2004. Best friends for over a decade Nick Nelson, Mike Myers and David Swanberg decided it was time to become serious with their lifetime interest of music. Solarfuse manages to bring together rock/alternative and electronic music with a dash of hip-hop together for a powerful new music style. All of the Solarfuse band members began playing their instruments together in 7^th grade, and have always had similar musical influences. Nick, Mike and David had been friends with Rob for years and finally decided that his dynamic bass playing was just the element needed to complete the sound of Solarfuse.

Solarfuse has played clubs all over Texas. Including monthly shows in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston throughout 2005. Finally after only a year of constant gigging the band earned the award of "Best Industrial Band" in The Edge Magazine. Their shows are now widely known for the intensity, audience participation, and overall energy that Solarfuse displays. Solarfuse has even blew away audiences playing shows with bands such as Roadrunner's Faktion. After only playing out for a little over a year, Solarfuse already has over 70 high quality songs. The songwriting capabilities of the band keep skyrocketing as they keep pumping out hit worthy material that has found its way on to Texas radio stations. Solarfuse's first LP "Affinity" to be released in the June of 2006 is being engineered by Paul Sorosky.
